Arita-yaki is one of the most well-known potteries in Japan. The first Japanese porcelain was made in the Arita region in the early 17th century. This tour provides an overview of potteries of Kyushu such as Hasami-yaki and Imari-yaki as well as Arita-yaki. You can visit Gen-emon Kiln in Arita, one of the most famous kilns in the area.
